Artist Statement

I design pieces of jewelry using beautiful gemstones that are comfortable enough to wear every day, yet a perfect touch for a special event.

Bio

Lorna O’Grady is a member of the Metis Nation BC. She was born in Minnedosa, Manitoba grew up in Saskatchewan and moved to British Columbia in 1978. Lorna moved to the lower mainland 28 years ago and currently resides in North Vancouver.

Lorna enjoys making beautiful jewelry using semi-precious gemstones with her focus on making bracelets. She was introduced to jewelry making and was taught how to design one-of-a kind works of art in 2008. Lorna’s designs are comfortable enough to wear every day, yet a perfect touch for a special event. She works with everything from turquoise, rose quartz, red coral, black onyx and more. She also enjoys participating in local craft shows, skiing, walking, reading, taking online courses and spending time with her husband and growing family.
